So, why are we fans of this technique? Because with hollow construction, you can create chunkier designs without the burden of heavy metal. Comfort is key when it comes to jewelry, after all! You wouldn't want to get tired of wearing your own creations, right?

The history of hollow construction is fascinating! While we can't pinpoint the exact origin, there's evidence of this technique throughout jewelry history. For instance, those elaborate beadworks from ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt might have already employed hollow components!
Fast forward to the Medieval and Renaissance periods. Jewelry-making flourished, and hollow construction likely became even more widespread. Lightweight pieces were desirable for both comfort and practicality, and hollow construction offered the perfect solution.
